This is a fully automatic water distillation equipment for use in research labs, hospitals and so on. It is made from 3.3 borosilicate glass. The distiller has the following features:
Replaceable silica-sheathed (quartz) heater: the horizontal jacket is fitted with a removable silica-sheathed heater and screw-threaded connectors for ease of cleaning. Distillate temperature is approximately between 25° and 45°C, ensured by an efficient condenser. The stand is powder-coated for rust-free operation and a radiant appearance. Cooling water from the condenser is recirculated into the boiling chamber, thereby saving energy. Screw-threaded connectors are provided for easy piping and installation to avoid any glassware breakage during assembly. A fuse is provided for safety in case of voltage fluctuation or short circuit. The heater is fitted with a replaceable constant-level device for easy draining and cleaning of the boiling chamber. The front panel is easily removable, making access to the glass parts simple.
Additional built-in safety features: gate valve, which conserves cooling-water wastage in case of power failure; flow switch, a built-in safety feature that stops the equipment in case of cooling-water failure; temperature switch, with the evaporator fitted with a safety temperature switch that stops the unit if the water level in the boiler falls below the heater, thereby saving the glass parts from any damage; level sensor, which shuts off the distillation equipment if the water level in the evaporator falls below the heater; reservoir-level sensor, which assists in automatic operation of the equipment, switching it on/off depending on the water level in the reservoir and thereby saving energy. (The reservoir can also be supplied with a storage capacity of 5 litres, 10 litres or 20 litres, made of borosilicate glass or polypropylene.)
