Based on the Roberval principle for finding the difference between two sides, it gives accurate and quick weighing up to 2 kg when used with supplementary masses, with a readability of 0.1 g. The balance has a cast-alloy base, angled beams with centre-reading scales, removable stainless-steel pans of 150 mm diameter, a clearly graduated front aluminium scale with 2 non-removable balance weights, magnetic damping, a spring-loaded zero-adjust compensator and provision for under-pan weighing. The two beams are 0–200 g x 10 g and 0–10 g x 0.1 g.
