The force-on-a-conductor balance shows that when a current is passed through a conductor in a magnetic field, the conductor experiences a force of attraction or repulsion depending on the direction of the current. It consists of a plastic base, 160 x 140 mm, on which two contact columns are mounted, each provided with an external circuit. A balance beam is supported on the columns by two bearings, which form the fulcrum. Two weights are provided on the beam — one moving vertically to adjust sensitivity and the other moving horizontally to set the balance position when no current is flowing. The scale is marked 0 to 75 x 1 mm, with a 1 g rider.
