The Transducer and Instrumentation Trainer Kit features on-board circuit block diagrams, various test and measuring points, an on-board +5 V, +12 V and -5 V power source, an analog voltmeter to measure output, and a wide range of transducers for study. It operates on 230 V AC input.

Technical specifications: 0–15 V DC analog voltmeter to measure output; 5 V to 12 V operation; test points for measurement; concept diagrams printed on the PCB; easy plug-and-play on-board voltage source; and a bridge rectifier to remove ripple.

Input sensors include: LVDT (a 20 mm linear variable transducer to measure displacement); microphone with high-gain amplifier; temperature sensor (10 mV/°C); NTC thermistor; J-type thermocouple for high-temperature measurement; sound indicator; Hall sensor (WH315) for sensing magnetic field and studying the Hall effect; strain gauge for measuring stress and force with a high-gain amplifier; ultrasonic transceiver for measuring distance up to 252 inches; humidity sensor giving an analog voltage output; light-dependent resistor; photo transducers (photodiode, phototransistor, photovoltaic cell, photoconductive cell); and a linear variable capacitor (LVC).

Output transducers cover heat output, light output, rotational output, sound output, linear-movement output, event count/time indication and voltage indication, along with signal-conditioning circuitry such as amplifiers, oscillators and filters, mathematical operations and converters.
