The Weiber universal shaker is a compact, heavy-duty, variable-speed shaker. It is used for the agitation of electrophoresis gels and filter test media for staining, de-staining and assay development. The shaker accommodates a variety of vessels and is continuously adjustable from 10 to 350 rpm. The design incorporates an orbital platform that accepts a variety of optional plates. A range of plate models is available, including three fitted with flask clamps for common flask sizes; peg-and-grommet-style plates make changing convenient. The timer circuit permits automatic stop after 3–120 minutes.
