It contains a horizontal borosilicate glass evaporator fitted with a 3 kW chromium-plated immersion heater with cut-off; a highly efficient coil condenser ensures a reliable yield of single distillate. It is designed for easy use, safe operation and low cost.
Features: abundant output — the still gives 4 litres/hr of distilled water, ideal for general laboratory use and capable of producing pyrogen-free distillate. Distillate temperature is approximately between 25° and 40°C, ensured by a highly efficient condenser.
Distillate quality: yield 4 litres/hour; conductivity 0.1–0.5 µS/cm; pH 5.5–6.0; distillate quality pyrogen-free.
Construction: the stand is powder-coated for long, rust-free operation; the boiler and condenser are designed for high efficiency; the boiler is fitted with a Teflon screw cork for easy draining and cleaning of the boiling chamber; screw-threaded connectors are provided for easy piping and installation to avoid any glass breakage during assembly. Additional operational accessories (at extra cost): gate valve, which conserves cooling-water wastage in case of power failure; flow switch, a built-in safety feature that stops the equipment in case of cooling-water failure.
