A unique experiment with which students can understand the effect on the overall capacitance when capacitors are connected in parallel or in series. For ease of understanding, audio and visual output devices are connected to the selected output combination, in series or in parallel. The experiment board has four blocks: power supply, audio-visual output devices, and a capacitor bank connected in series and in parallel. Values can be combined to make different combinations using 4 mm banana-plug cables.
