The Fogging Tester is specially designed equipment for testing the fogging characteristics or VOCs of leather, plastics, vinyl and textiles used in automotive, aerospace and other transportation vehicles. It includes the following equipment:

· Thermostatically controlled bath: fitted with all safety devices for over-heating, designed to operate up to 130°C, with bath capacity, circulation and heating working together to control the temperature within ±0.5°C throughout the bath, maintaining a moderate, uniform agitation speed. The distance between the bath fluid and the lower surface of the glass plate should be 60 ± 2 mm.
· Cooling plates: hollow plates made from rust-proof metals with aluminium on the side facing the glass plate, designed to keep the glass plates cool, with cooling water circulating through the plate via two connections; a separate cooling plate is used for each beaker, designed so the mean water temperature stays at 21°C and the inlet-to-outlet difference does not exceed 1°C.
· Flat-bottomed beakers made from heat-resistant glass
· Metal rings made from rust-proof steel to keep the test pieces flat
· Sealing rings (L-shaped or round) made from silicone or fluoro rubber
· Float-glass plates in privacy or windshield-window quality for condensation of the fogging, in tin and non-tin finish, with reflectometer values within ±2% units
· Filter paper, aluminium foil plates (stored in a desiccator), reflectometer (gloss meter), spacer, dishwasher, balance, polyethylene gloves and desiccators
