A modern binocular inverted metallurgical microscope with co-axial coarse and fine motion mounted on ball-bearing guides, fitted with a level illuminator with centring arrangement, field and aperture diaphragms, and slots for inserting filters. It has a built-in variable solid-state transformer at the base, a large sturdy stage with X-Y movements, and coarse and fine focusing knobs. Supplied with two coloured filters in metal mounts, a rexine cover, and finished in a box.
