A 500 mm diameter steel disc faced with matt white, marked every 5 degrees with extended lines every 10 and 30 degrees, and cross lines marking the centre. The disc is mounted on a 25 mm diameter steel tube 390 mm long, fitting into a stable base with levelling feet; it rotates about its centre and can be locked in any position. The lamp house holds a 12 V, 24 W axial-filament lamp and is covered by a rotatable outer shield with various slots, so that by rotating the shield, beams of varying width and narrow single, double or triple beams can be produced. Attached to the lamp house is an adjustable lens carrier with a lens to provide diverging, parallel or converging beams. The lamp house is mounted on a rotatable arm that can be locked in any position, with a sliding weight acting as a counterpoise. All optical elements are supplied with magnets attached so they can be placed anywhere on the disc. Supplied complete with accessories.
