The Peel Off Strength Tester measures the self-adhesiveness of foam sheet. The bond strength of self-adhesive foam sheets to a substrate is determined by adhering a rectangular test sample, cut from the sheet under test, onto a smooth glass surface, pressing it down with a rubber-lined metal roller, and then peeling one end away from the substrate at a 180° angle at a constant speed using a motorised arrangement. The force required to peel off the sample gives a measure of the peel strength of the foam sheet under test.
