A compact visual teaching aid built on a wooden board 400 x 280 x 13 mm with a matt white surface, mounted on rubber feet, carrying a circular scale with four quadrants graduated 0–90° every 2°, with two lines at right angles. The ray box has slots to take metal slits, colour filters, lenses and so on, and is fitted with a 12 V, 24 W line filament.
