The apparatus comprises a mild-steel housing. Six hot plates of 4½' diameter are mounted over the housing and can be operated by an individual energy regulator, electrically operated on 220/230 V mains. The maximum total power rating is 900 watts AC. The apparatus is supplied complete with six tall-form spoutless beakers, six bulb-type condensers and clamps for holding glass parts.
