Ultraviolet fluorescence viewing cabinet: this compact instrument is designed for TLC plates up to 250 x 300 mm. It is also suitable for observing either fluorescence or quenching of fluorescence with either short UV (254 nm) or long UV (365 nm) of column or paper chromatograms, bacterial or fungal cultures, plant samples, documents or currency for genuineness, ores and minerals, and various other laboratory and investigative work.

Construction: the external case is made of thick steel, with strong continuous welding, covered with a thick layer of epoxy-based polyester paint, which gives a strong, highly scratch- and chemical-resistant surface. The black interior finish of the cabinet prevents any reflection of UV radiation, which protects the eyes. This dual-wave unit is provided with one short-wave UV tube surrounded by a precision optical filter, which transmits mostly short-wave UV of the mercury line 254 nm with high efficiency, and a low-pressure mercury-discharge tube with a black wood-glass wrap and a special phosphor coating inside the surround to produce predominantly long UV output 365 nm with high efficiency. A fluorescence tube is provided for visible light. An eye-protective glass window is provided on the top front for viewing the samples and inner chamber.

UV fluorescence viewing cabinet (triple wave): this compact unit is equipped with 3 separate UV sources — one for short UV (enveloped with a precision optical filter, 254 nm), one for mid UV (312 nm) and one for long UV (365 nm); a fluorescence tube is provided for visible light.

Ultraviolet torch: a portable device for emitting UV light, provided with two long-wave UV sources for examining fluorescent stains or spots in gels or on TLC plates. The UV sources are covered with a UV-transparent window.
