Utilities required:
· Electric supply: single phase, 220 V, 5 A
· Continuous water supply: approx. 10 LPM
· Fuel: 10 litres
· Floor area: 3 m x 2 m
· Tachometer for RPM measurement

Technical details:
· Engine: four-cylinder, four-stroke, vertical, water-cooled, self-start engine
· Loading: model TD-106A — electric brake dynamometer (engine coupled to an electrical alternator with resistance-loading arrangement, digital voltmeter and ammeter provided); model TD-106B — hydraulic brake dynamometer (with measuring equipment, control panel and a dead-weight load in kg, suitable for testing the engine at various speeds; engine and dynamometer directly coupled on a substantial base plate)
· Fuel-measuring system: fuel tank, burette and three-way cock arrangement
· Air-intake measuring system: air tank fitted with an orifice and water manometer
· Heat-carried-away measurement: inlet/outlet piping with flow-control valve and cooling-water meter, with thermometers to measure the inlet and outlet water temperatures

Optional: exhaust-gas calorimeter — made of stainless steel (body and cooling-water tubes), designed to obtain maximum temperature difference, with the body insulated on all sides to prevent radiation losses; thermometers are provided to measure the water and gas temperatures.
