Memmert-type universal oven for laboratory use. For every laboratory and research lab, this is essential general-purpose heating equipment. It is a rugged double-walled unit, with the outer chamber made of mild-steel sheet pre-treated with primers and rust-proofing and painted with attractive stove enamel or powder coating, while the inner chamber is made of anodised aluminium or stainless-steel sheet. The gap between the inner and outer chambers is filled with high-grade glass wool to avoid heat losses. Temperature is controlled by an electronic digital controller or hydraulic thermostat, from 5°C above ambient to 250°C ±1°C. Air ventilators are provided on the sides of the unit. Standard capacities: 28/45/95/125/224/252/336 litres. Beaded heating elements made of Kanthal A1 wire are placed in ribs at the base and sides. The inner chamber is provided with ribs for adjusting perforated shelves to a convenient height.
