A double-walled unit mounted on a sturdy angle-iron frame. Both inner and outer are made of heavy mild-steel sheet, the outer suitably hammertone-painted and the inner with high-temperature aluminium paint. The gap between the two walls is filled with high-grade mineral wool to minimise heat loss. Brackets to support the heavily loaded drying trays at adjustable heights are provided on the sides of the inner walls. Fitted with strip-type air heaters. Temperature range from 5°C above ambient to 250°C, ±2°C at 150°C and ±3°C up to 250°C, controlled by a digital temperature indicator-cum-controller. Ventilation is provided by an adjustable opening at the top to exhaust the fumes or vapours produced during processing. A fan is fitted for forced air circulation to ensure uniform heating throughout the inner chamber. A separate control panel is fitted to the chamber with individual controls for ON/OFF and the air-circulating fan. Operates on 220 V or 440 V AC supply. Supplied with aluminium trays of size 80 x 40 x 3 cm as per the tray capacity of the unit.
