The basic unit comprises 3 main detachable compartments, a detachable platinum-electrode assembly (cathode and anode), glass tubes 7.5 cm (24 nos.) and 14 cm (24 nos.), silicone-rubber grommets (12 nos.), rubber bungs (12 nos.), polythene closers (24 nos.), a gel-casting tube stand, a 5 ml syringe with needle and a power cord.
